In Social Studies (s.s) we were took a test on China and were in our groups working on our projects for the three gorges dam. We are going to do a presentations about the three gorges dam. We each have our own speaking parts. One half of the room is going to be against the project by speaking about the reasons why it is a bad choice to build the dam. And the other half of the room is going to tell the reasons why it is a good choice.

Varanasi and the ganges The ganges is a river that people pray in. These people who pray in the ganges belong to the Hindu religion. The ganges is a very dirty river. There are ashes from dead people and even dead people in the ganges. ( …edit…) In Varanasi the cow is a sacred animal. About 600,00,070 million are Hindus. The educated people in Varanasi speak well. People’s who are in there last years of living bathe in the ganges. (…edit…) The ghats are stairs to get to the ganges river. People in Hindu smoke ashes. The Hindu cremate people.

Some of the Italians holidays are Epiphany,(January 6th) Liberation day,(April 25th) and Immaculate conception(December 8th). But they also celebrate American holidays like Christmas, All saints day and Easter.Italian is the official language but other languages are spoken like German and French. The climate in Italy has mild rainy winters and hot dry summers. Italy is located in Southern Europe. It is a little bit larger than Arizona. The major meal is eaten in the afternoon. I think Egyptian hieroglyphics are really cool!!! It’s weird to think about how ancient Egyptians drew hieroglyphics like 21st century things. Such as the helicopter or the UFO. It is very weird. The worlds oil is running out! there are only 2.6 trillion barrels left. 1.7 out of the 2.6 trillion barrels is oil that geologists have found but not yet pumped out. The other 900 billion barrels is oil that geologists have not yet discovered but think there is. Once the oil has ran out, people will start to drive hybrid cars. Like the minicat which runs on compressed air.
